Biography

A LEADER SHAPED BY BORNO'S STORY

Ibrahim Abba Gana was born in August 1973 and raised in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State. From his earliest years, he was shaped by the rich culture, resilience, and community spirit that define the people of Borno — values that have guided every chapter of his life.

Ibrahim received his secondary education at the Air Force Military School in Jos, an institution renowned for producing disciplined, principled leaders. The rigorous training he received there instilled in him a lifelong commitment to duty, integrity, and service above self.

He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Greenwich, London, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northeastern University. This combination of scientific rigour and business acumen gives Ibrahim a uniquely analytical and strategic approach to governance — one grounded in facts, data, and long-term thinking.

Today, Ibrahim Abba Gana stands before the people of Borno State with a clear mandate: to win the 2027 gubernatorial election under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and to lead a government that is honest, capable, and genuinely committed to rebuilding every corner of Borno State — from Maiduguri to Biu, from Monguno to Gwoza.
